TEA FARM

Delicious tea leaves born from beautiful tea fields.

A tea plantation nestled in the mountain area of Shizuoka Prefecture at an elevation of 600 meters, blessed with a pristine natural environment. The air is clear, the water is pure, and the short daylight hours, along with the temperature difference between morning and evening, create a mist that often blankets the fields. This beautiful landscape is home to tea grown organically and without pesticides, producing a truly delicious yield.

Amid this landscape, tea leaves cultivated by farmers who have been practicing natural farming for over 30 years are exceptional, thanks to their meticulous soil preparation and dedication to unique cultivation methods. The taste is refreshing and gentle, never overpowering, with a subtlety that brings joy to every cell in your body. Experience these remarkable tea leaves for yourself.

SAFE-TEA

Tea leaves that meet strict safety standards, allowing them to be fully powdered.

THE NODOKA’s tea is certified organic by both JAS (Japan) and USDA (USA). Organic-certified domestic tea leaves are extremely rare, making up only about 3% of the total tea leaves in Japan. THE NODOKA’s tea has passed the rigorous inspection standards of organic certification bodies, ensuring that no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used at any stage of production. Without safe tea leaves, it would be impossible to produce whole tea leaf powder.

ORIGINALI-TEA

The Secret of the Powder - Why Powdered? How is it Made?

To allow you to enjoy tea freely and conveniently in various situations, THE NODOKA focuses on ease of mixing with water or hot water. Driven by the desire to deliver the full taste of the finest tea leaves without compromise, we have adopted a unique method for powdering that preserves the aroma. Using a special technology, we turn the tea leaves’ healthy components into a micro-powder, achieving a fine powder that easily dissolves in water.

SUSTAINABILI-TEA

Passing on the Scenic Tea Fields to the Next Generation.

Japanese tea farmers are facing challenges such as a lack of successors, leading to a 90% decline in the number of tea farms over the past 30 years. While demand for organic tea leaves is strong, low-cost, mass-produced bottled tea has become the mainstream, forcing producers to lower tea leaf prices year after year. Increasing access to authentic Japanese tea not only enhances enjoyment but also helps protect tea farmers and the beautiful tea field landscapes. Additionally, the packaging avoids excess wrapping and uses eco-friendly cushioning made from corn fibers. We are also part of "1% For The Planet," contributing 1% of sales from our official online store to environmental conservation organizations.

FOUNDER

I want to deliver authentic Japanese tea to the world.

Although most tea labeled as "Japanese Green Tea" overseas doesn’t actually use Japanese-grown leaves, it is marketed as such. Upon visiting Japanese producers, I learned about the various challenges they face, including a lack of successors. I want people to know about these issues and to transform the "Japanese tea" that floods the international market into the genuine article. I believe that by connecting Japan and overseas, tradition and innovation, consumers and producers, we can create new joy and possibilities.
